Mimmi's mommy senses are tingling. And that usually means something bad is happening. So she momentarily abandoned her boyfriend Logan to go investigate.

And she found Lily and Equius. Oh dear. Lily looked upset and Equius looked like a deer in headlights.

Not much surprise there.

She made a beeline straight for them, smiling.

"Is everyone enjoying themselves?"

Suddenly, Mimmi. Lily looks from Mimmi to Equius. Who should she look at? Social situations are hard! Lily settles on Mimmi. That seems to be the correct course of action!

"Yes! Yeah. Yes. Totally. Enjoying myself, way. Great party."

Equius flashes Mimmi a deathglare for a moment, immediately taking her incoming presence as a threat. He's not as tense he sees it's her, but his glare is still up.

"Yes we-...Well, I am not certain. I believe we are. Well, I-...hm..."

He looks back to Lily, with a confused look. Should he say he's enjoying himself for her sake? People do this, right? Lie for others?

"Yes. I am enjoying myself as well."

And Mimmi is completely unfazed by his deathglare. She mothered Bass. This is nothing new. So she smiles pleasantly.

"Good, good."

She'll confront Lily specifically for details later. Equius clearly hasn't a clue as to what's going on.

"I don't suppose you two were planning on dancing at all, hmm?"

"Dancing? Oh! Yeah! But, uh, yeah, later." Great. Here come the 'yeah's. "Yeah, I'm uh, not feeling up to it? I guess? I'm... just... I'm hungry?" Come on, stupid, can't you think of something better? Of course not. God, you're dumb. "Yeah. Can't dance when you're hungry, right? Yeah? Need energy!"

Never mind that her plate is literally covered with sweets.

"So... yeah?"

Equius will have to give Mimmi props for not even flinching at one of his most heated glares, later.

"Oh- you are hungry? I- yes, I understand what you mean. I could not dance very well on an empty stomach, either..."

He's pretending to understand so hard, it's obvious to everyone. Equius really has no idea what's going on with these emotion things and thinks it's stupid.

"We could eat, if you'd like."

Mimmi eyes Lily's plate but decides not to make a comment. So instead she keeps her attentions on Equius.

"I suppose that is a good idea. Dinner appears to be cancelled for tonight, anyhow."

Lily is starting to repeat herself.

He looks from Lily to Mimmi, trying to see if she notices something a bit off too or if it's just him.

Poor Lily. Mimmi frowns for a split second and rests her hand on her shoulder.

"You seem to have a full plate already, Lily. Perhaps you should find us somewhere to sit?"

And then she gives Equius a 'you-and-me-need-to-talk-buster' look.

Equius gave her a nod, turning his attention towards Mimmi and her SILLY looks with her oogly googly human eyes. The troll is giving you an unamused look, as if he's expecting you to impart some strange bit of human knowledge on him, Miss Mimmi. Perhaps it's part of human culture to act strange during parties.

"So she IS upset. I knew it. I do not know what could have done it. She merely asked if I would still like her if she weren't STRONG like I was. I said yes... most likely, probably, somewhat. Yes I hesitated, but of course I'd still enjoy her presence. She is different from other rude humans."

Equius folds his arms, scowling. Why aren't humans upfront with their emotions?!
