Originally Kevas wasn't going to dress up for this whole thing. He was going to go of course, after the last one he was at he refused not be there, but he really wasn't going to bother with the whole costume thing. Of course Rapunzel seemed to have other ideas. He told her if she found a costume for him he'd wear it and she managed to do just that.
He felt more than a little stupid wearing the outfit but a promise was a promise. No one in hell would he be taking off that hat though. At least there was plenty of liquor available.
As soon as Sarea had spotted the green troll she'd started making her ways towards him, though it took her longer then she would have liked due to how many people were gathered in the room.
She slinks up beside him and casually slips her arm through her brothers, leaning on him with a grin. "Never thought I'd see you in a superhero costume, Kev. Suits ya, bro."
And yes, she is basically expecting him to lecture her on her costume. Or to try, perhaps.
"I'll haftah take joor word on dat one." Mostly because he doesn't really know what a superhero is exactly.
Of course that train of thought ended quickly when he saw what his little sister was wearing, or wasn't wearing to be more accurate.
"So I gotta know, could joo wear any less?" Not only does he have to keep a look out for trouble but now he had to make sure no one got too grabby with his sister while she was wearing that.
"Oh come on, Kev, it's not that bad." Rea grins and pulls away, doing a quick little twirl, "Everything important is covered! Besides..."
Trailing off Wolf pulls the giant bow from her back along with an arrow (rubber-tipped, of course), stringing it and pointing it at the wall before putting the arrow away, "I got an awesome weapon with it! Though I've never shot one in my life..." not that Wolf much cares, as she's hoping she won't need to fight with it.
"So! Talia not around, bro? Thought you'd be attached to her at a party such as this~!"
If she wasn't his little Kevas would have to say she was smoking hot in that, but seeing as how she was his little sister all Kevas can think of was mons ogling her. He did not approve of that.
"Dat still be more skin den I be wantin' to see, or I be wantin' any uddah mon to see." Kevas had no illusion that he would be able to control her life in any way. Eventually she was going to find someone that she wanted, but that still didn't mean she had to show everything off to everyone here.
"Den how 'bout joo just leave dat be befuh joo put some mon's eye out, rubbah tips or not," Kevas teased.
Now there was a subject Kevas didn't want to go into detail about. He guessed that she didn't see his fight with Talia and Nel then. Hopefully it would stay that way.
"Haven't seen her yet." Which wasn't exactly a lie. He just didn't happen to be looking for her so he could avoid talking about his drinking again.
Wolf is still in far to good a mood to let her brothers worrying bother her, grinning and planting her hands on her hips playfully, "Please, Kev, I've seen worse back home, trust me. At least I'm not showing everything."
Rea just grins at the comment about the weapon, though the way he says the last thing makes her frown, ears prick. She's gotten to the point where she can kind of read him, and something seem's off.
"Everything okay, Kev?" Wolf hooks her arm through her brothers again, standing on her toes in a failing attempt to be on eye level with him.
"How 'bout I make jah a sign dat be sayin' 'please stare at my ass' to wear wid it?" At this point he was just teasing her.
Kevas couldn't help but chuckle as she stood on her tiptoes to look him in the eyes. It didn't surprise him much that she could tell something was up. They were family by now. In fact he'd be more surprise if it slipped over her head completely.
"Aye I be fine. Quit joor worryin' and enjoy da party." Of course that didn't mean he was going to tell her. Kevas smiled and kissed the top of her head to reassure her.
Though the teasing does make her smile a little again, her frown returns and Wolf sinks back down on her feet, worried.
"You sure?" Wolf is a worrywart, and she remembers the last time something happened to Kevas, back on the boat. She's not about to let him run off and try to deal with it by himself again, "You know you can tell me anything, bro. Right?"
Sometimes Kevas wondered if everyone he took into his family was stubborn or if that was just him rubbing off on them.
"I know Rae, but I be fine. Now if joo spend dis whole party worryin' 'bout me joo ain't gonna have any fun." Not to mention that if he told her there was a chance that she would side with Talia and Nel on this. He remembered how worried she was when she saw him drinking.
Chloe grinned at his outfit--along with the ever present hat still upon his head.
"I like your costume."
He and Derek would make quite the pair--both of them waring super hero costumes. As it was Chloe was wearing a pretty blue dress Lois Lane wore in one of the old movies she watched as a kid.
There was a face he hadn't seen in awhile. Not since the whole 'having his throat torn out' thing. For that matter he hasn't seen much of Derek either. He was going to have to check up on the little mon sometime.
"I ain't be da one who picked it. Joo can t'ank Rapunzel fuh dat."
And that was the only reason he was wearing it too. Looking at hers, he had to wonder if that was a costume or just some dress she picked out.
"As much as I can be yeah."
Since his arrival the most he's done was have a few cups of ale. At the moment he's too busy making sure things don't go falling apart again like have before.
"So I've been told." He still didn't know what a superhero was though. Maybe he'd have to look that up later.
Kevas looked down at Chloe with a raised brow. He could understand her being upset by the whole thing, but apologizing to him didn't make any sense in his mind.
"Lift joo head liddle one. Dere ain't notin' joo be needin' to apologize fuh. It ain't even be Derek's fault eiddah."
No, that whole incident was Kloe's fault and he couldn't believe there were so many in this keep willing to protect that dumb bitch.
Spine stiffening, Chloe wonders for a second if he means it. Then she's holding her breath, realizing he does, and her mouth presses into a slight frown before she ducks her head once more, moving to lean against Kevas for a second and give him a one-armed hug. She didn't know if he'd mind it, after all. She couldn't help but be thankful. She knew Derek blamed himself. That would never go away. But Kevas's words... his kind expression--
Chloe's throat closed up.
"W-want to dance?"
She tried to smile, taking a deep breath and doing her best not to seem overly emotional. She could be strong, see?
Kevas wrapped his arm around her and squeezed. Poor girliemon, he didn't know what happened to her in the past but she seemed so ready for him to turn on her. It made him wonder if she ever had anything constant in her life besides Derek. Maybe he'd have to keep a closer eye on those two than he originally thought.
He looked down at her and smiled. She was trying to be strong, whether it was for him or for herself or even for Derek he didn't know, but for now he wouldn't say anything. When she wanted to talk she would talk.
"Sure, I t'ink I could do dat."
It wasn't going to be the end of the world if he took a few moments of guard duty to dance with Chloe.
Smiling, Chloe ducked her head a little in embarrassment at how much his agreeing to dance with her pleased her. She laughed lightly, biting her lip as sudden nerves overcame her.
"I should warn you now, I know very little dancing. If we're doing one of the Keep's dances, I'll try to follow as best I can."
He felt more than a little stupid wearing the outfit but a promise was a promise. No one in hell would he be taking off that hat though. At least there was plenty of liquor available.

Chloe took a small moment of silence to gather her courage.
"Derek told me what happened. I-I--I'm sorryy." She pressed her lips together in a tight frown, then ducked her head. "I'm so sorry."
