Hi there, Sandrath. As it happens, Ryn was looking for people she knew as well, especially for potential dancing purposes. So she headed over at spotting him.
"Nice," she informed him as she stopped next to him, looking over his costume with a slight grin.
"No one told you about the giant fucking octopus in the lake, then, who likes having tea parties and wears a monocle?" Her tone was teasing, but she was serious about that. One of the first people she'd spoken with had told her that fucking gem.
She chuckled at the wink. "In that case, I'll take full advantage of it."
When he started moving, she copied him, slow and graceful as well, but with the obvious air of someone who's reproducing something they'd recently learned.
"Nice," she informed him as she stopped next to him, looking over his costume with a slight grin.
"Can I tempt you into a dance?"
Reply
"You look elegant tonight." He stated before tilting his head to the dance floor. "Of course, I've been looking for people to dance with."
He offered his hand to her.

Them and the other costumes she'd ended up stockpiling, anyway. She accepted his hand with another grin.
"Though it's only fair to warn you: I've not got much of an idea what I'm doing. Went to the damn dancing lessons, but that's about it."
Reply
San lead the way to the dance floor.
"Then we'll start simple and slow. Whenever you feel more confident, we can pick up the pace."
Reply
Better to be prepared for something bad to happen and be pleasantly surprised if the incredibly fucking unlikely occurred and things went fine.
Ryn followed him out, smirking. "Catering to my lack of confidence? You're too good to me."
Reply
If something did go wrong, it wouldn't surprise him.
"Well, it would be wrong not be nice." He winked at her. "Now, shall we dance?"
He started to move, slow but graceful.

"Good."
He continued dancing, but took notice of her movements. Unable to help himself, he had to ask.
"Did you take lessons?"
Reply
At his question, she chuckled slightly.
"That obvious, is it? Yeah, I went to that dancing lesson thing, the one one of the staff here held."
Reply
He nodded slightly. "Well, I'm glad I remembered some of my training for this."
Reply
Possibly because it was the same girl who mentioned the octopus, and Ryn hadn't exactly been tactful about her opinion of that. But oh, well.
She raised an eyebrow at that, curious. "You had training in dances like this?"
Reply
"A long, long time ago. Yes." He informed. "To be used for ocassions such like this."
