He wasn't going to lie, he'd been really looking forward to this party. It was the first Halloween in a really long time that he'd spent away from the Institute, but Bobby was doing his best not to think about that. That mostly meant being really psyched out for the party, which really wasn't all that hard. He loved his costume, and there were a lot of people here that he was looking forward to talking to and dancing with.

Bobby was watching other people dance, for the moment, though he'd already claimed some of the dances he'd asked for and was definitely planning on claiming more of the rest. But right then, he was sipping at a glass of wine and munching on a little toffee cup.

It's conspiring against Raven and Bobby times :C hidingnolonger November 14 2011, 02:36:02 UTC
So what you're saying, Bobby, is that you expect a first kiss? Because Raven can easily make that happen. Really easily. In fact, she's probably thinking about it right now.

"Course I am." Raven grins at him, happy to be pulled in closer. "Well, I was sort of saving my dance card for you. At least the first one, anyway."

Yes. Yes he was. Well, excepting might not have been the right word for it. Hoping might be a bit better. Really, really hoping.

He smiled at her, not quite shyly. "Me, too. I mean, for you. I wouldn't want to dance with anyone but you first."

And then he wondered if that might have been saying too much, so he followed it up with a grin. "Apparently this is different from the ballroom dancing I know, so I might have to get the hang of it. I figured I could count on my one girl army not to laugh at me too much."

Her smile lit up a fraction at that revelation - because that’s a good thing, even if he might think he’s said too much. Raven certainly doesn’t think so, if her expression is anything to judge by.

She slipped her arms around him with a muffled little chuckle.

“Tease you a little, maybe. But laugh at? Never. Only with you.”
