Wandering around wasn't the smartest thing to do at the moment. It was dark and dangerous, and really, as brightly as her torch burned, it was unprotected from any wind outside. The thing was, she had started to drive herself crazy, sitting cooped up by herself. There were days that she felt safer outside, with room to run and move if need be, than trapped in the small cell of her room.

So she'd left the safer confines of the buildings to the courtyard, not far from the chapel, and found a bonfire blazing.

Drawn by the promise of safety and warmth, she'd gone toward it, stopping by the seated figure she recognized as soon as she'd gotten close enough.

"I won't, or at least, I'll do my best," she replied. Her head tilted ever, ever so slightly to the side, toward his shoulder. This was the small silver lining to the persistent darkness.

"Do you know how much longer it will last?" she asked, watching the flames of the bonfire in front of her. After a moment, she tucked her hands between her thighs to keep them warm.

Joe shook his head. "Not a damn clue. Duran's out there now gettin' a hold on things again. The guy is fockin' good at what he does."

Hopefully that track record would hold up for this darkness as well, and the Keep would be back in order soon. The arm around Bryn tightens a little, hand idly rubbing her arm.

Joe's confidence in Duran was comforting, even if she hadn't even spoken a word to the other man before. Deior's staff was competent, from what she'd seen, and she'd trust the cook's word.

"Then I suppose it's good I can be patient," she replied, eyes drifting to the hand at her arm before she averted her gaze. Bryn lifted the mug to her lips and sighed.

It wasn't exactly difficult being patient where she was.
