Derek had been with Chloe when Sollux contacted her, so fortunately, Chloe didn't have to waste any time getting him. They headed down to the library, and Derek quickly located them room Sollux was waiting in. He couldn't smell anyone else, which most likely meant they had gotten there before Sollux's friend, so he stood to the side to let Chloe go in first before following after her.

"Hey," he greeted, nodding towards Sollux.

Kevas wasn't far behind them actually, arriving shortly after them. More kids, this really shouldn't surprise him much anymore. For now he was going to give them the benefit of the doubt. He trusted Sollux to be smart enough to know that they shouldn't bring anyone that was useless into the woods. Jack might be an idiot but he told Kevas enough for him to know that the place was dangerous.

At the moment Kevas didn't say anything. He just tipped his hat politely. They were the ones that wanted to talk to him so he'd like them talk.

Sollux sits up and raises an eyebrow as Derek enters. "I didn't expect to see you here."

It wasn't a surprise, though, since Chloe had mentioned telling him and they seemed to be matesprits or something.

Once everyone's in the room, Sollux uses his psionics to shut the door. "So I guess we're going to the woods. I don't know if Kevas knows where the grave is or not, but since he'll want to go anyway, I figured it was best for Chloe to explain why she should see it."

"It'll be better for all of us involved if Derek comes with us." She didn't say more to it than that, she just glanced back at Derek with a certain understanding in her gaze. It was his secret to tell--she'd let him decide when and where, if it wasn't taken out of his hands. Based on previous experiences, she bet Sollux would take the news pretty well ( ... )
