When Derek had found himself suddenly wearing a new set of handcuffs, he hadn't been pleased. Nothing that had happened randomly like this here had been good, and it didn't bode well that the key he'd found didn't open them.
He couldn't break them, either, even with his strength, and they resisted all attempts at lock picking, which also didn't bode well.
His next plan to get them off had been to shift - shackles weren't really meant to hold wolves, after all. So he'd headed outside to the forest, but his plan had backfired. The cuffs stayed on, even in wolf form, and now he was pretty much stuck that way for the next few hours.
Which meant he was heading out of the forest and back to his room as a wolf, with the cuffs still on and pretty pissed.
Claudia was disappointed in her plan. A rock really? But she mood improved when she spotted her favorite massive non man eater. She grins happily and heads over to him.
Yeah, Derek would agree that the rock plan kind of sucked, if he knew about it. But then again, it wasn't like his shifting forms plan had turned out all that much better, so he guessed he couldn't really talk.
He's not exactly in the mood for company, but at least he recognizes her from the last time he'd gone around in wolf form, and she'd been pretty entertaining.
And she's heading over to him, so he stops and wags his tail slightly. He's going to be stuck like this for a few hours, anyway.
Yes he really couldn't talk, cause he's stuck as a wolf for the next few hours. Well that's what Claudia would say if she knew what Derek was thinking.
When Claudia get to him, she reaches out with right hand to pet the top of his head. The other end of the handcuff swings out and somehow latches onto the wolf's front leg. Crap

"Hey boy," she calls out.
