"How do I get back in there?" she said with a sigh. The question was said more like a statement, and she pushed away from the doorway, walking around to where he was standing. "I'm not ready to go yet."
She stopped next to him, leaning back against the wall as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. "They all ask the same thing."

She was the reaper. The way she said that last bit clued him in, and at least she wasn't looking like the raggedy hag he had tangled with before.
