The commentlog with he and Bartimaeus is, I think, a very good example of his character and diction both. Is he at a canon or CR point where he's not much into evil plotting?

Yes he is! CR Wise, at least -- canonwise he's been pulled premovie! Buuuut...he's got almost a years worth of CR stashed up in hurr so he's not...as villainous.

I know that you've been busy with holidays, life, and the universe, but I would love to see him do an evil plot (mods-permitting). I really love the way you play him though, so maybe this fits more on the CR meme, lolol.

What stops me from doing it is that I'm never quite sure if the other person is up for my slow, severely backdated responses. Which is something I should really ask people about before assuming anything. /fail

That's great! I am a total backtagging addict myself, due to schedule conflicts and energy levels.

On those grounds, my suggestion would be to backtag regardless? People will tag you back if they want to/have the time. That saves you from having to ask/worry about it.

AND I AGREE ABOUT THIS NEED TO TAG. I WILL SEE YOU AT THE CR MEME.

I know that you've been wanting to have Xanth develop along the lines of anger and frustration. Before I give a crit, one question: Have you been expanding his CR?

I ask because one way to destabilise a character is to put them outside their comfort zone. Best way to do that with a character like Xanth might be to expose him to others. Is there a way you could make him more proactive about tagging new characters?

To be honest, I have not been trying much to get him out and about. It's a little like a cycle? No growth -> don't feel like tagging -> even less growth -> less desire to tag -> etc.

I could certainly be more proactive, though. As of the moment I'm tending to stick around people he already has CR with and that's... not conducive to a whole lot of growth, tbh, because he's mostly got friends!

In an attempt to break that cycle, I'd suggest picking non-friendly/unknown CR threads for a bit in order to expand it. Yes, it's hard to do when unmotivated, but maybe something planned and built up could get him closer to snapping/destabilising. Do you have anything planned?

I offer Bartimaeus in this regard and will tag you at the CR meme when I tackle that.
