Now I'm not trying to start some big political war here but church and state should remain seperate. Kerry may be Christian, but not everyone in America is and every last, damn person in that country does matter, Christian or not and if you're in a high political spot, like say PRESIDENT, you have to look out for the well being of every single American.
Most non-Christians don't like Christian ways being force fed down their throats. How would you like it is a Jewish president was elected, and started talking about how there wasn't a Jesus?

Abortion isn't even a topic about religion, just moral ethics.

i agree, ones beleifs does not make up the whole, jewish presdient, hell, what about a hindi president? so many people beleive that the president has to be christian or not be allowed to be president. there is nothing wrong with not beleiving in anything, being atheist, being christian, jewish, etc...but those majority in control must not forget the ideals of america and must embrace everyone, not impose thier religios beliefs on poeple, this is not a religious state, its a free republic.
