..Can someone help me with the Birth By Sleep spoilers because I looked at some spoilery icons from the secret ending and askjdfkdsfj I'm so confused and cannot find any straight answers on Google. lol.

I'm trying to piece it together myself, and so far I've got... next to nothing. Somehow Roxas, Xion, Ven, and Terra APPEAR to be around in the secret ending, but that's impossible, so I think it's just a hint at their connections to Sora that won't become apparent until KH3. Also as far as I know, Ansem can't really be on that shore talking to Aqua because Aqua is presumably dead (since we saw her armor on the ground in the Room of Sleep, or if she isn't dead she should have aged between the timeline of BBS and that meeting, which is apparently a year after the events of CoM

Well! I don't... know if Aqua is dead... argh. It might have just been her armor. But yeah, that's true. Maybe it's because Aqua is stuck in the world of darkness, so that's why she won't age? And Ansem the Wise is stuck there, too, after he destroyed Kingdom Hearts. Or... before. Something like that, haha

Nahh, so little of it makes sense that I'm not bothered by spoilers at all. XD That's the first I heard about Vanitas though annnnnd it seems a bit cheap, a bit like Xion's character after all the wild hypothesizing people did before Days' release. Still, I can see how that might make sense, and I find that in Kingdom Hearts what's most interesting isn't what happens but HOW it comes to happen. What you said about MX sounds about right too, and if it's true about MX taking over Terra's body but not his heart makes me wonder whether he'll come back or if the nature between the split of his heart and his body and soul will be revealed in BBS.

I'm pretty sure the ending is supposed to be translated as Sora going to release everyone "from their torment", as Coded put it.

Aqua goes on a journey at the end of her scenario to look for Terra. The first part of the secret ending shows her walking in the darkness, and several Darksides appear. Ven and Terra's keyblades destroy them for her, protecting her, and disappear. Cut to the super secret ending on the beach.

Aqua's been wandering in the darkness for years. There's no telling if she died or not but either way, it's possible she wouldn't age or show signs of it. She and Ansem are talking on the beach one year after Ansem dies in KH2. He tells her that he's losing his memories of his life, but that he knows Sora is coming to free them all. It shows Namine, Axel, Roxas, and Xion (probably in their metaphysical "next life"), and then Ven and Terra (possibly also in a metaphysical "next life"), and then cuts back to Aqua realizing she can't leave that place until Sora comes, but that she'll wait, because he IS going to come.

Let me try to answer them...

1. Terra gives up his body to keep Xehanort where he is, but he'll never give up his heart. He holds Master Eraqus' heart in there too. I think the memory issue is one of the following.

a) Terra and Xehanort are constantly fighting for control, so it's like an empty shell.
b) They know full well who they are, but won't give up the ghost.

2. Eraqus is TAV's mentor. He was killed by MX, but Terra grabbed for him like Kairi did for Sora in KH1 and took his heart without realizing it.

3. No one knows why Aqua was trapped in the Realm of Darkness. Not that I've seen, anyway. But remember, Sora and Riku opened the Door to Light. It was a one time thing, or so I think.

All right, thank you! This all makes a whole lot more sense, now, and I can finally go to bed. I really shouldn't have spoiled myself, but I knew it would happen eventually. :| I'm going to try to refrain from the majority of the cutscenes until it comes out in the US, though, haha. This game is just too epic and I need it, ack.

The Ven and Terra being not possessed/sealed away/whatever nonexistence they came to be during the game in the secret ending threw me for a loop too. Mostly because I want TAV to be one happy/complete family D: Its so cute how Terra and Aqua are protective of Ven during the game...

I can tell you about Ven/Vanitas/Sora, but those are kinda major story points to explain his identity fully.
