SyFy/Sci-Fi Channel pre-history

Tonight there is a 20th anniversary special airing on SyFy/Sci-Fi Channel. A few months ago, I made a quick video showing a pre-launch flyer from 1990 (two years prior to the actual launch) that I've managed to keep all these years.

Ah, the days of when you'd see ads for those channels that you wished your cable company picked up.
I was vying more for Cartoon Network about that time (whenever CN came about). I actually did call our cable co. back a few times and chatted a little with the phone reps and they explained the how's and why's as to why it takes so long to pick them up. Our cable co. finally added Sci-Fi, CN and a handful of others somewhere in late 1995 I think...Now I barely touch any of them. Such a pity.
