recommend some books

please, please recommend some good books. I'm not good in choosing books, really. The last two books I've bought were unsurprisingly boring. I haven't even reached half the page of the second book. When I read the summary on the back of the book, I really like it. But when I've reached the 20th page, I fall fast asleep and lose the desire to ( Read more... )

Just read 'I capture the castle' by Dodie Smith. Which was very addictive and funny :)

^ It'a fab, isn't it?

It depends what mood you're in:
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier is the last thing I finished. It's very dramatic and olde-stylee.
Parfum by Patrick Suskind is very odd, it's basically about a man who kills people for their scent. Like I said. Wierd; but somehow enjoyable.
White Oleander by Janet Fitch is quite intense, but it's a more modern novel, and very poetically described. Good characters too.

I'll probably pass "Parfum." That's far too weird and creepy for me. I'll definitely buy White Oleander and Rebecca though. Thanks for recommending some books. I'll be bugging you after I'm finished reading those books, to ask for more good titles. Haha

^ Probably a good choice; Parum was reccomended by a VERY odd friend of mine. I'm especially worried about the orgy the main character causes at the end when he's meant to be hung.
