I'm finding myself feeling particularly yeti-ish as the days pass and I get less and less sleep; hence the new userpic. I can just imagine myself rampaging Earlham, fangs bared, as if it was a small Himalayan village

Aww, thanks! It's so weird- somehow I lost track of who I told and who I didn't, so I thought you knew! I'm sorry- I would have told you differently than through a stupid livejournal post. But yes, it'll be the 22nd of December in the evening. And even though we can't afford anything like a reception or anything, we're trying to figure out how to celebrate with all of our friends sometime afterward, so we'll see what happens! We'll be sure to let you know.
It'll be December 22nd, in the evening, back home in Chicago. We pretty much planned it starting in late October, so the plan hasn't been that long in the making. We moved the date to now so that David will qualify for financial aid and loans and stuff when he applies for the MAT program. The downside, though, is that we're having a tiny wedding- just his immediate family and mine. We can't even invite our relatives because we (and my parents, who insisted on helping with our wedding costs) just don't have the money

Oh god, Laura! I didn't tell you?! I could have sworn I did, in an e-mail! I'm so sorry! Anyway, December 22nd in the evening, at the chapel at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Lincoln Park. I wish so much that you could be there, but it's going to be incredibly tiny (only our immediate families, not even our relatives) because neither we nor my wonderful parents, who insist on helping with the costs, have any money. And while we could have an extra person, no problem, I know that there are a lot of people who would be hurt if we didn't invite them but invited someone else... it's stupid, and it sucks. Here's the thing, though- we're going to try and have a party (or just meet with our Chicago friends at a restaurant or something... we'll have to see what happens) so that we can celebrate anyway, even if it's a little later than the wedding itself. Maybe a New Years thing? I don't know. But I will tell you everything that's going on

We really miss you, Ted. I know it's not like we spent that much time together when you were here on campus, but still. I'm looking forward to after I graduate, and we move back to Chicago, and we'll have our apartment with a futon ready for visiting friends like you!
