unfortunately, AD(H)D is something that you have your entire life. I have ADHD, and my doctor has told me it's not something you get rid of. It's something you learn to manage.

If you can't go fight in a war, there are plenty of things you can find to do to help. Fight for a cause. The war is not the only help our country needs. There are other things that we should be paying a LOT more attention to. Like the millions of orphans in our country. Find a cause that you CAN fight for and feel strongly about. There's nothing wrong with not fighting in Iraq.

So when these kids grow up and mature, they seem to get "rid" of the ADD, when in fact they have just matured a bit and become less hyper, and maybe realized that school is important. This is where a lot of kids diagnose themselves and say, "Yea, i have ADD because i can't pay attention." but they really just don't care ( ... )
