Dream high: ep 7

Feb 25, 2012 11:04

I am here about to write for ep 8 and realised here isn't one for ep7?
Hehe an excuse to watch it again?
I wouldn't mind, but it would mean crying excessive amounts again.

The episode started interestingly, the continuation of the apple thing.
I really liked it when JB recognized the importance of the apples and helped Haesung put them back in the box.
He's a bit awkward in comforting her, is even a bit confused why he's doing it, but still at least he's trying-- unlike Yoojin who is just flubbing it at every point.

Anyway Haesung tries to apologize to Yoojin, but hes still feeling jealous so hes a complete bitch to her in front of Rian too (whom he LET touch his precious guitar).
I don't think he has feelings for Rian, but apparently it's easier to be nice to a girl you DONT like.

Then Haesung says her goodbye on stage with a little interview with herself, which JB watches.
It's touching because it shows her heart, and shows JB's as well-- and they didnt even talk.
It turns out that JB had a parallel scene during his audition to Kirin as what Haesung had at the agency audition.
I liked that best, it gives a more plausible reason why JB suddenly cares.

He decides to arrange her composition for her, as a parting gift.
Likewise, Yoojin does the same after hearing her rant to him on the mini recorder.

So she leaves the next day, but instead of being straight out about it and saying "no, come and sing" Yoojin decides to be a cryptic fool and put it in a message on the recorder.
Too late by the time she actually listens to it.

The cute scene, the only one which didn't make me cry-- was when JB realises she's going to the bus station and hijacks Si Woo's car, while Nana and Si woo are in it.
Even though they hold each other in contempt, Si woo still looks after his dongseng.
Probably because unless it was important, JB would rather die than ask him for help.

Let's side track to Nana and Si woo.
I want them to have more air time.
If they are my Milky couple, then I want them to progress from one scene per ep.

Si woo started off as the bad ass, the antagonist, but then he ripped that list and I was like "ok, now I don't know who you are".
We also haven't seen the girl he was helping in the second ep again, which makes me think that when she makes an appearance again, there will be heartache for Nana.

Now let's go back to the story.

The scene at the bus terminal is quite heartbreaking.
With the teacher and principal coming through, and JB trying-- but not succeeding.
I think it was brave of her to give up her dream, she accepted the reality being pushed at her and made that choice to move on.

I think that those idiots at school who read her letter, and cried while letting her down, they're scum.
And that's the reason why I can't be on "lower class" side 100%, because sometimes theyre just not likable.

Anyway JB overhears that Rian, who has tried to claim Haesung's song as her own..l
He just marches in there and calls her out on it.
Earlier she said he was "NG" (no good) by hanging out, showing sympathy to Haesung.
And he repeated those words this time.

They're slipping apart because while they were trainees, bottom of the ranks, it was easy to sympathies with each other and go for their dreams together.
But in this new environment, where there are people lower than them, JB is starting to realize that Rian would never have liked, and wouldve stomped on the person he once was (as he now sees Haesung).

Jiyeon (Rian) is pretty when she cries, when she feels pain, but frankly-- im sick of it.
I'm sick of her "woe is me" face.
yes she has problems and she's desperate, but I really doubt making up for your lack of talent by stealing others-- low.

Finally, JB walks away from her.

Still, it looks like Haesung's not holding a grudge on Rian, she was quite happy to hear her song being sung.
Good for her.
