You're welcome!
I wouldn't have achieve it without your support ^^

Did you find the answers interesting enough? Some questions were rather silly or redundant... In particular the ones about their private life... Well, now I'll stop grumbling whenever one of their series goes on a break ^^

We always learn something new from their interviews, even with the same questions ^^

I think they were nice questions, I loved their reactions when they asked about the name "CLAMP".

I have a question, your translation says that the friend who come up with the name CLAMP was a male friend. Is that what the french translator says? Because I always thought it was one of the old members of CLAMP who left the group.

I liked the part about their sources of inspiration... Deadline and dreams... it just doesn't seem very professional and yet XD

I was quite surprised too, I mean, doujinshi circles are most of the time all-girls or all-boys organisation from what I heard, but the French translation said "il", that is to say "he".

It might still be some mistake from the translator, or a choice on their part if Ohkawa just mentionned "a friend" without saying if it was a boy or a girl, as we do not have a neutral in French...

If someone actually understanding japanese could make sure of this, it would be great, but I don't know anyone who could do that ^^'

Lol! Well thank you, but if I was, I wouldn't have to face the rain that's currently pouring over Paris!

Dear Kei-san77

Thank you so much for translating this interview for us to read. I am considering being a manga writer/artist, and reading this interview helps me gain an understanding of the field. I live in an area where there are few artists, so this is one of the only ways I can gain information. I have learned that I probably will not do the whole thing myself, considering that CLAMP has 4 workers who either write the story, sketch, illustrate, or supervise. Also, noticing that my copy of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles is a lot thicker than a comic book from the United States, I assumed that being in this field requires fast, accurate hands and a lot of work. Reading this, I now know that I could not be more correct. Thank you so much again for posting this!

Sincerely,

Spencer Davis
