Okay I'm not going to lie, been to California once and fell in love with the state. It's freaking gorgeous.

Never been to Cali, but I've got friends there that I grew up with here in MI, so I should totally use the excuse to finally visit the state. Sorry to interject, but the mention of California made me think of this excellent song made for those of us in the midwest (this is what you get for bringing up music with me).

We should go on a road trip to Nevada and meet up with all the cool chicks in that other state.

As for "Why", maybe it is just that we see things as 'cool' because they are new and stand out from what we see everyday. Maybe we need to go further than Nevada but when we see someone doing things we don't normally do, it looks cool. Or maybe we are just enamored by the mysterious and a girl far away allows for us to dream about how great it would be to spend time with them whereas actually hanging out with a girl down the road may just seem ordinary in comparison.

In my opinion, there are cool girls everywhere in this world and it is just a matter of getting out and meeting them. I am sure there are plenty of guys in other states who ask why Californian girls are so cool. But maybe it is just because of the Beach Boys...
