It makes me really, really happy to hear about what a great time you had. :) I know you were unsure about attending ALA or Katsucon, but from this post I'd say you definitely made the right decision (such reasonable flights, such awesome people, etc.)

A-awww, I'm sad to hear you hate how you looked your doggy gijinka though because I was SO EXCITED for photos! Those illustrations were mad cute. ♥

I'm sure I don't look as 'ehhh' in the doggy gijinka photos as I felt I would, it was mostly a really fluffy wig that I was all GRRGHGHGH wearing, ahaha. I'll have to link the pictures when they get posted!
