Dear Yuletide Writer,
I hope you will have fun with the assignment and have a great Yuletide experience! Below you will find more information about my requests if you need it. If you have your own ideas and want to run with them, please do!
Rejseholdet | Unit One: La Cour and Fischer! I love their chemistry together and the closeness and sense of humor that sees them through the grim and harrowing job they do. Bromance, friendship, or slash would be perfect. Ideas: working a case; the aftermath of solving a case; haggling over La Cour’s apartment; a pub crawl; or just hanging out together.
Shinhwa RPF: Gorgeous, great, crazy, adorkable Shinhwa! Friendship and/or bromance is lovely, and slash would be very welcome. Any pairings (or moresomes) work for me. Alternatively, write something focused on any of the guys. I would be happy with anything Shinhwa! Something set within the K-pop world of Shinhwa or an AU based on one of their music videos would be great. ("Only One" and "Sniper," in particular, seem to be begging for fanfiction!) Ideas: chaos ensues while filming a TV show; a reunion after military duty; mishaps and hijinks from their dorm-living days; road trip; or a simple night out on the town.
Misaeng | Incomplete Life: I loved this series so much (read my squee about it). This is my request for "more, please!" ^___^ I requested Han Seok Yul because I went from disliking him to *loving* him during the course of the series. I would be happy with anything that captures his outsider status, his rebellious streak, and his flair (dare I call it his flamboyance?). Ideas: a vignette of office gossip; drunken confessions after work; a glimpse at his background/home life; or further adventures of Manager Oh's "dream team." I would gladly and enthusiastically read slash with him and Jang Geu Rae or Jang Baek Gi, but you don't have to go there if you're not feeling it. Anything full of Seok Yul goodness will make me happy.
Chief Inspector Gamache Series: I just discovered this mystery series and have fallen hard for the characters and the Québec settings. By Yuletide opening, I'll be caught up on the series, so you can draw upon any of the books for inspiration. I asked for Armand Gamache and Jean-Guy Beauvoir because their relationship fascinates me. I am particularly intrigued by Jean-Guy's past and how Gamache found him & mentored/nurtured him. I'm also interested in Jean-Guy's anger contrasted with Armand's calm center - but they both keep deeper contrasts hidden inside. Although I'm not specifically looking for slash, it would not be unwelcome! Ideas: working a case, arguing about a case, having a meal, or dealing with their personal issues. It's all good.
Black Sails: What I'm looking for is more of the canonical love affair between Thomas Hamilton and Captain Flint. The glimpses we got were so warm and delightful! If you don't want to go the romantic route, I would be happy with more of their interesting friendship that bridged the social divide between them, their plans for a new world, or even an adventure.
