Had Perrier from mini-frig -great! Lots of other goodies - Cokes, even mouth sprays!
Swiss TV has 4 (?) channels. Old Pink Panther cartoon! Big, gorgeous suntanned blonde came on to announce next feature. Peanuts in german!
Went to Cafe de Paris for dinner. Still the same but the prices now! Paid 27s.f. (~$9) inflation and rate of exchange is really bad. Waitress seemed a little unfriendly - can't see why? Hot and muggy - start to sweat, then got chilled, yeck!
Guards at Swissair boarding really searched us thoroughly. Opened all hand luggage, then frisked us like police - no magnetic gadgets, manual frisking, even cuffs, etc. Could be just London because of recent bomb scares (?)
Documentary on R.R. Wilson on swiss TV!! Just caught tail end but described him as a "humanist in an atomic age". Even Lederman giving anecdote about Wilson. Scenes of Wilson chipping away at wood sculpture, walking with interviewer through woods to large colonial-type house (couldn't be in Illinois?)
Price at Cafe de Paris has gone up since last year from 13.50 sf to 17.50 sf. Inflation!
Herald Tribune has inflated as well. London 10p ( = $0.25); Paris 2F (=$0.40); Geneva 1.50 sf (=$0.50!) Used to be about $0.15 in the good old days. London Times is $0.15 (in London).
