Greenie is the lovely local blacksmith tutor.
At the art exhibition his amazingly intricate, miniature, steampunkeske, models of a plane and a lighthouse that actually glowed were my favourite exhibits.
The whimsical, fun, or utilitarian works he creates out of pieces of metal are a metaphor for what he strives to produce from the raw material of his ( Read more... ) -

Journalistic Manifesto
I started writing poetry again a couple of weeks ago and now I can't stop. Like some people do crosswords or suduko or sketch. It clarifies my feelings and focuses my thoughts.

I was trying to interview people for an article on cyclone Ondoy and Mel sent me this story of his experiences during the floods.
