HISTORY:
This feels so weird. I guess it's alright to link to Rinali's wikipedia page, right? It has a brief history and description for Rinali.
TIMELINE:
I'm pulling Rinali from the middle of her fight with Eshi, a level three Akuma encountered on the way to Edo. It'd be around where Rinali frees herself from Eshi's dark matter while invoking her innocence's maximum power, and just as she makes her way back to the surface of the water, she'll end up in Spiral. [Chapter 70]
VERSION:
There's an anime version and manga version of Rinali, I guess. I'll be playing the manga version of Rinali, which has covered most character development. I don't really follow the anime anyway. ♥

Rinali felt herself being plunged into the depths of the sea, struggling to free herself from the binds of the Akuma as she was faced with the struggle to breathe. She reached out towards the surface with her hand; even her eyes were losing their light. Allen... Her lips were wordless as they moved as if speaking, the memories of Allen flooding her mind...
She could remember it clearly as she sank deeper into the sea, the night she woke up to find Allen nowhere in sight. She was afraid he had disappeared; still shaken by her previous nightmares-- she couldn't quite shake the fear of losing him. She searched all over town for him until she had finally found him, clutching her jacket tightly to herself as she called out his name, running towards him with concern on her face. He was hiding something from her, clutching his hand over his left eye as he tried to hide himself with the shadows. At watching this, Rinali quickly reached forward to grab his hand, shouting. "Wait!" She held onto his hand with both of her own, head lowered in a desperate attempt-- she spoke again in a hastily matter. "I-If you don't want to show it, I won't look at it, so... don't go any farther into darkness!"
She was shaking as she held onto his hand, biting her lower lip as her face remained hidden underneath her bangs. "Please don't go away into darkness!" She shouted once more, not wanting to lose Allen. She couldn't fight the tears as Allen questioned her-- her lower lip trembling when he asked if she had a nightmare the other day when they caught up with each other. She suddenly latched onto him; hiding her face with his shoulder as she told him about the nightmare she had a few nights ago. A dream of the end of the world; the usual nightmare that continued to repeat itself within her dreams.
"Allen-kun." She spoke, a little more calm now, but the tears remained within her eyes as she continued to speak. "When you close your eyes and think of 'the world'... what do you see?" There was confusion in Allen's response, so Rinali decided to continue. "Well... I don't see 'the world' like a map." She looked on as she spoke, picturing all of her friends as puzzle pieces; every piece was a part of her world. "I've been in war for a long time. What I see are the faces of companions under a fence of the 'Dark Religious Organization'." Again, she couldn't fight the tears. "I'm a bad girl, huh? My friends are more important to me than the real world. To me, the death of one companion... is like a piece of 'the world' gets destroyed."
The memory quickly faded into the background as she returned to reality, unable to move as she continued to drown, sinking deeper into the dark sea as she watched the light from the surface slowly disappear. Again, her lips were wordless as they moved as if speaking, her eyes with the smallest hint of light as she continued to reach out towards that fading light-- as she continued to watch a reflection of her world, of her friends... deep within the dark sea.
"If there's nobody left, even if the real world is saved, I will be destroyed... so please don't die. Please don't go away anymore... For that, I... I..."
Rinali continued to struggle against her binds once she gained consciousness, turning her emotions into strength as she prepared herself to fight against the gravity pushing her down. The demon waiting for her at the surface was aware of her struggle, excited by the thought of Rinali coming back up to the surface. He motioned his fingers into a picture frame once more with a sadistic grin, tilting his head to the side as he hovered above the water. "Come on up. I'll sink you deeper this time!!"
Rinali was pushing her Innocence to the limits as a bright light began to surface from her legs, forcing her Dark Boots to invocate at maximum power. "Nnnh..." She was using all of her strength to push the binds away, her lips moving as she spoke the indication. "Inno... cence."
"Release!" At those words, her eyes widen as her Innocence took it's true form, pushing the binds away a great distance before Rinali pushed herself back into gear, quickly moving back towards the surface, coughing out blood about half of the way before she broke through the surface of water.
"Allen, I'm scared. For Suman's sake, you forcibly released your Innocence too, right?"
She plunged towards the sky, her mind already set on settling this fight with the level three Akuma that had attacked their ship. It was her turn to do this now, to sacrifice herself for the sake of her world, for her friends and only family, knowing very well that Allen had done the same thing for them. She was scared, of course, but that wasn't going to stop her yet.
She had already sunk into the deepest depths of the ocean once, and she was determined not to allow that to happen again.

I don't know how I got here, but I found myself descending down a staircase.... wasn't I fighting that Akuma? And what happened to the ship? I hope everyone is alright. I don't understand what happened. I couldn't have... I was fighting for them, for everyone, I was... What is this place?
