Well I'm getting to end of my 'collection' of poems from fall quarter.... this one is about Faust. PLEASE tell me that actually know the story/opera because my class did not and I cried inside. I like to think of it as a commentary in the third person from Gretchen's point of view. It's very complicated I know... but I hope you find it interesting.

This is a poem that started out as a monologue about OCD...but then it morphed into a weird (somewhat) epic poem. Please don't be disturbed by it, I was in a strange mood when it was written. I woke up one morning and wrote the first stanza and it just went from there.

This one was written on one of my more morose days and I'm not sure who I was addressing when I originally wrote it. It's interesting that hese mysteries appear even as I read now. And I miss her.

Most of you know that.

But I can't shake this feeling of immense guilt. I took the time I had with her for granted. After grade school we kept in touch, but there were many times when I promised to visit or call and I didn't. I told myself that I would do it 'later.'
