true BUT
i think that this is also the thought process of many negative-minded people.
why focus on the positive when the negative is more interesting...
AND
i think it is the driving force behind sensationalist news broadcasts.
there is a dark side to human curiosity.

I agree, on both points. Especially the dark side of human curiosity. The queues that form on a road whenever there is an accident - not due to people stopping to help, but because they slow down to look - that kind of thing. Ugly.

My attachment to quotes along these lines comes more from the number of times I've been called mad or insane, usually for reasons I do not find as an indicator of any sort of mental defect.
