LOL, yes. Hadn't you heard about the new lockout policy? I only wish they had implemented it earlier so I wouldn't have had to give Scripps that measly $25.

I like that you talk to yourself in your head. I do the same thing ... only sometimes with movies of my own devising. :D Life is fun being stark raving!

Well, I thought we only got one free lockout. So while I knew about it, I didn't want to use it.
And as for talking to myself - talking to the universe is more like having a conversation with a person who isn't in the room, but who might hear you from, say, the kitchen. I say this because I occasionally get not only what I asked for, but also a bonus goody. Tonight, for example. *stops trying to explain her confused religious beliefs/specific kind of insanity*

Natural 21 on remember keys check, perhaps?

Also, Scripps charges for RAs to let you in, not just campsec?

Can't have been a 21, or I'd have remembered them. Might've been a 21 on getting back in, though. *grin*
Yes, Scripps charges for everything. Fortunately for those of us living on campus, our new Student Council President is a wonderful, reasonable person and told them that this was just making us stop locking our doors and get creative on breaking into our own dorms - neither of which is really good if they want to keep people from walking off with our stuff...

I thought about expressing the roll in complex numbers instead, but figured that might be *too* nerdy.

And yeah, charging people for every lockout is a great way to counteract any campaign to get people to lock their rooms whenever they leave…figure that Scripps does at least nominally encourage that...

Many people I know do not bother to lock their doors. They rely primarily on our draconian escort rules, which, while irksome, do a very good job of keeping unauthorized persons out of our dorms. As a result, property theft rates are very low.

I also locked myself out today, though my bathroommate was home at the time, so it was only a minor problem.

Yours sounds less stressful. Still, I kind of like my story. I do tend to have sort of extreme luck.

They CHARGE you to let you back in?

Shit, they only charge us here if we lose our keys...

Have I mentioned that the administration doesn't like us? -_-

I would have been out SO much money if A&M had that policy when I lived in the dorms

Actually, I think they did have a 2 free lockouts policy, but most of them didn't really keep track, so I just rotated which RA I asked to let me in. Yes, it happened that much. Imagine if we lived together

Yeah, I'd be significantly poorer if I didn't know how to break in... Happily, my door is fairly easy to open if you know the trick to it and have a pair of hangers and some tape.
At least if there are two people living in a room, it increases the odds that someone will have remembered their keys on any given day!
