You're such an anti-Taruite. I just don't understand. I mean, sure, moogles would always be better than anything but you shouldn't hold it against the Tarus. And what did you mean when you said they have cutesy speech patterns?
And what did you mean when you said they have cutesy speech patterns?
Examples of Taru speech can be found in FFXI's in-game newspaper The Vana'diel Tribune. There seem to be 3 basic patterns I've noticed. 1) If a word ends in "T", add "aru" to it, but don't do this every time, once per sentence is good. 2) Take words at random and echo them, but make it cutesy, like you're talking to a baby. For instance, the word fancy would become fancy-wancy. 3) People from the mage guild seem to like to speak in rhyme. For example, a normal person would say, "I just fought two Ochus at once - I can't believe I survived!" A Taru would say, "I just fought two Ochu-wochus at once - I can'taru believe I survived!" One player I met on a message board claimed to have been so good at mimicking Taru speech that they were mistaken for an NPC.
