The vet took the necessary X-rays, and gave us the best possible chance he had. At the very least, $2000 of vet bills not including the $700 hardware to fix his leg. It was his right hind leg, 3.5 centimeters below the hock, and it broke through all of the bones there. The vet gave us a 20% success rate, and even then we think he bumped it up a ( Read more... )

I have been in the same position and the cold truth you have to hold on to is that you did the right thing. It is a decision we have to make for our loved ones when the time comes. Its the burdon that comes with the love we have. I know where you are right now so I will not offer any more words because there arnt any that can console you.

Oh damn. Sorry to hear this news. Was hoping for a better outcome. I know just how much it hurts, it mearly killed me to lose my first. Coould not talk for a week I was so broken up. And Magic Man was too much. Look forward when you get to walk across the Rainbow Bridge and run in the fields with them
