A/N  I thought I was finished with this story but obviously not, I have so many things going through my head I just had to write it down to see what would happen. I want to keep writing, but its like 12.30am and I have to be up for work at 5am... not good. Lol. Will write more later after work or Wednesday. :)

It had been three weeks since they broke up and two weeks since they had their talk in the on call room about being friends and still needing to be in each other’s lives. It hadn’t been an easy ride. They still struggle to be in close proximity to each other without wanting to take it further.

There had been a few moments where things almost went too far. It was hard for them to ride in the elevator alone, without one instinctively reaching for the others hand before realizing what they were doing.

There were also a few times that they let their hormones get the better of them, and they ended up pushing the other against the wall and kissing. But they always managed to find that self control, that will-power to not go further, to not stretch their friendship further then is should be. It was hard enough dealing with the breakup let alone dealing with the emotions of sleeping together, but not actually being together.

“No way!” Callie squeals while laughing. She was quite drunk, they had decided to go out and have a few drinks in celebration. They had worked on a successful case together today, which made them both happy, and what better way to celebrate, then with Tequila and a dance floor.

“You so are!” Arizona argues back laughing. They were walking down the street towards Callie’s apartment building, laughing and joking together.

“I’m not drunk! I’ll have you know that I’m more sober than you Dr Robbins. You could barely dance, you no longer have any co-ordination or rhythm left, it was like you had two left feet, and you were stumbling around, like you couldn’t see where you were going.” Callie jokes before laughing again.

“I’ll have you know Dr Torres that I have plenty of co-ordination and rhythm left.” Arizona states before laughing knowing too well that she was far from sober.

They had just reached the door to Callie’s apartment building; Callie opens the door and looks at Arizona. “You want to come up? We should probably have a coffee to sober up. When you’re ready to go I can call you a cab.” Callie asks her sincerely.

“Thanks, but I really should get going.” Arizona regretfully replies.

“Oh come on. One coffee, its not going to kill you. Please? I’ve had fun tonight, and I don’t want it to be over just yet.” Callie begs.

Arizona looks at her watch quickly. “Okay, but just one coffee and then I really need to get home. I have an early start tomorrow.” She tells her.

Callie laughs and enters the building followed by Arizona; they wait for the lift to return to the ground floor. “You know Arizona, you really should’ve thought about that before you had ten shots of Tequila.” Callie teases.

Arizona just stands their staring at the unopened doors. “Probably.” She chuckles out just as the lift arrives. Both girls step in and turn to face the closing doors. Callie looks at Arizona out the corner of her eye. She just realized why they had so much trouble in confined spaces.

Although she’s spent all night with the beautiful blonde, she had control of herself because they were in public, it was easier to remain strong with people around them. Callie was starting to feel the effects of too much alcohol and the flooding memories of the night dancing closely with Arizona.

Before Callie knows what she’s doing, she’s pushing Arizona up against the wall in the lift and kissing her. Arizona doesn’t hesitate to return the kiss, its rough and full of tongue and teeth clashing, both trying to fight for dominance over the other, this is only spurred on by their drunken arousal.

Arizona starts to push her and Callie out of the lift as the doors open, walking them slowly towards Callie’s door. Neither wanting to break the kiss, both knowing deep down that they should have more self control right now. But due to the strong amount of alcohol still in their system, they let any chance of that self control fade away.

Callie briefly pulls back from the kiss when they reach the door, they were both in dire need of oxygen, but she also needs to open the door. Putting the key in the door she starts to turn it to unlock the door when she feels Arizona’s lips on her neck and her hand making its way up underneath her top to cup her right breast. “Let me show you just how much rhythm and co-ordination I really have.” She whispers, into Callie’s ear. Callie quickly reclaims Arizona’s lips and kisses her hard, threading her fingers into Arizona’s hair holding her in place.

Arizona smirks, she still knew exactly how to turn Callie on, not that it was hard to do, especially when she’s drunk. Arizona pushes Callie back against the door and presses her body closer to Callie’s. She continues to massage Callie’s breast rolling her hard nipple between her thumb and index finger. She runs her other hand up and down the warm soft flesh of Callie’s back. She feels Callie pull her in tighter against her body as she moans. She feels like she’s on fire. Every part of her is aching to be kissed and touched.

Callie pulls back from the kiss out of breath; she smirks at Arizona before turning the key and opening the door slightly to move them in behind closed doors, not taking her eyes off of her just in case she disappears.

The door had barely closed before Callie had pressed Arizona up against it already kissing her, this time softer with more love and passion then the last. She softly runs her tongue along Arizona’s bottom lip, this time asking permission to enter. She feels Arizona tongue come out teasing her own. She can’t take it any longer; she forces her tongue into Arizona’s mouth fighting for dominance. She loves being in control. She runs her hands up and down Arizona’s sides smirking into the kiss when she hears her moan.

They both pull back from the kiss out of breath and completely turned on. They lean their foreheads together and smiled at each other. This is what they’ve wanted for weeks. This is the moment they had been waiting for and hoping for everyday. The day that will-power didn’t exist anymore. If only they knew earlier, all it took was a bottle of Tequila and a lot of close sexy dancing.

Callie moves back in and softly kisses Arizona’s lips, wanting to savor every second of it, wanting to freeze this moment in time, wishing she could freeze this moment in time, because the words she hears next were not ones she wanted to hear.

“We should stop.” Arizona whispers out, gasping for air after the heated kiss they just shared.

Callie nods and kisses a path down Arizona’s jaw to her ear; Arizona closes her eyes and leans her head back against the door allowing Callie more room to play. She lightly kisses and nips at the sensitive area just below her ear.

“If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.” Callie says whispering in her ear her voice full of lust. Before Arizona has a chance to protest Callie slips her hand into Arizona’s pants and underneath her panties. Her fingers slide through her slick wet folds and she enters her with two fingers.

“Calliope!” Arizona moans out, her legs almost buckling underneath her, Callie holds her in place against the door.

“Oh god! Please! Do you have to!” Cristina yells from her spot near her bedroom door.

Both girls froze in place. “Fuck” Callie sighs out annoyed, before quickly removing her fingers and turning to face her roommate, who is standing at her bedroom door. Callie smirks at her, while Arizona blushes and tries to hide from embarrassment behind Callie. “Evening Cristina.” Callie giggles out. Finding this funny in her drunken state.

Cristina just grunts before walking into the room. “I’m all for you and roller girl getting your freak on, but please, can you take it to your room.” She says half annoyed.

Arizona had regained her confidence and stepped out from behind Callie. “Sorry.. I was just about to lea-“ Arizona was saying before being cut off.

“Please don’t apologise, it’ll be a nice change hearing something other than ‘emo girl’ over there crying herself to sleep at night.” Cristina says off handedly.

“Cristina!” Callie yells staring at her in shock that her roommate could be so insensitive, she knows that Cristina says what she thinks, but she was hoping for a little more respect. She gave Arizona an apologetic look; she didn’t want her to feel guilty about anything.

“What?” Cristina replies. “Its not like we all don’t know that blondie here hides in the supply closet to cry.” Cristina retorts.

“That’s my cue to leave.” Arizona quickly adds before opening the door to leave, but before she manages to run away Callie grabs her arm and looks at her. She knew it was hard on her, it was hard on both of them, but she didn’t realize she was still struggling so much.

“Is that true?” Callie asks concern showing on her face.

“Is what she said true?” Arizona questions in return. Callie slowly nods her head, Arizona looks at Callie sadly. “Yes, some days are just harder than others. Some days just get the better of me.” She replies softly.

“You two do my head in. Lesbian drama!” Cristina scoffs.

“Do you mind!?” Callie yells at Cristina. “Would it hurt you to be kind for once in your life, and actually respect people’s feelings?” Callie asks disgusted in her roommate.

“No it wouldn’t. But you two are just so thick at time. I walked out of my room and saw you two, and my first thought was FINALLY, I now I wish I’d just walked back into my room and let you go at it. When you find someone that loves you like you love each other, you don’t let them go, not for anything. And if you don’t work this out, you’ll regret it, and I think you’re both idiots. I’m out of here.” Cristina snaps before walking out the front door past the two girls.

Both of them stood there in shock, they didn’t know what to say or do anymore. Their moment of arousal had past. Now it was just awkward. Callie so desperately wanted to go back to ten minutes ago, but they couldn’t just forget what happened.

Arizona was watching Callie trying to figure out what was going through her head. “You okay?” She asks softly.

Callie looks up at Arizona. “I don’t know.” She replies honestly.

Arizona walks over to Callie and wraps her in a hug. The effects of the alcohol almost worn off.  “I’m sorry this happened.” She says softly. Callie looks at her confused and hurt. “Not that.” Arizona chuckles. “I mean, I’m sorry Cristina interrupted us, I’m sorry you found out about the supply closet that way.” She says quietly.

“Shouldn’t I be the one apologizing. She is my roommate.” Callie asks confused.

Arizona just smiles at her. “I know one thing that’s for sure.” Arizona says while smirking.

“What’s that?” Callie asks curiously.

“Next time this happens, and I’m sure there will be a next time, we’re going straight to your room.” Arizona replies grinning.

Callie stares at her in shock. “You want there to be a next time?” Callie asks her hope evident in her voice.

“Callie I tried to stay away from you, I tried not to touch you, I failed, miserably. I still don’t know where we go from here. But what I do know is that yes, I do want to do this again. Just not now, I’m going to go home, have a really cold shower and think about things and sleep.” She explains softly before placing a kiss on her cheek. “I’ll see you at work tomorrow okay? We’ll have coffee and talk?” She asks her.

Callie nods and smiles. “Arizona?” She says. Arizona looks at her. “Please don’t call me Callie.” She replies. Arizona smiles in response before leaning in and kissing her softly before pulling back. “You know I have a perfectly good shower and bed here?” Callie asks with a cheeky grin spreading across her face.

Arizona laughs at her attempt. “I do. But I need to go home; I think we both need time to let what just happened sink in. I don’t know what this means for us, I hope it’s a little more than friends with benefits, because I have always been adamant that I’m never going to be one of those people. But you Calliope, you unleash things within me, things I didn’t think were possible. I need to think.” She tells her softly before slowly walking towards the door.

“Wait.” Callie says before walking over and pulling her into a hug. “I don’t know what this is Arizona, but I need you.” She whispers. Arizona smiles at her before placing a soft kiss on her cheek and walking towards the door.

“I need you too. I love you, Calliope. I’ll see you in the morning.” She says with conviction.

“I love you too Arizona.” Callie replies, a small smile finds its way to her lips as she watches Arizona close the door and leave for the night. She turns toward her bedroom and sighs happily. Hopefully tonight will be the first night since the breakup that she falls asleep without tear stained cheeks.
