An LJ friend of mine, and perhaps yours, mijan, is on a valiant quest to become a firefighter. This is, of course, a quest that is near and dear to my heart. In order to be considered as a career firefighter, you must have vision of 20/100 at the worst, uncorrected. So, mijan needs Lasik to get there. I want to place a bid, but I'm not really sure how to. Do I offer a price here and then you will let us know here if someone else places a higher bid and then have a bidding (?) like at a real auction? I could track this post so that I see if there are more comments. Do you want me to leave a prompt now or only if I win?

So ... Mijan has unexpectedly gotten the funds for the surgery, and has in fact had it already.
Moonlitfog, you are the winner of the auction, but, LOL, there is no longer either a need for the donation or even a way to make it...
