Dell just called, and were quite helpful, and sending me out a replacement adaptor tomorrow...so if it arrives and everything is okay, I'll bea happy online bunny. Although the last day has really pointed out to me how much I rely on my laptop for...

YAY that they are sending something right out! WHEE!!

Very frightening when you suddenly realize how much you really do use it, eh? I leave mine on all day, though I'm not necessarily HERE all day - it's just better than turning it on and off and on and off ... ;-)

Mine is my only, though I am considering an EEE PC for the boyo just so he has a place of his own where he can tinker.

See I still have 3 other laptops...but two are dodgily broken, (one has a circuit board fault, poor Lindsey) and one has a broken fan. The third one...well that doesn't even have a modem in it!

But three weeks for an adaptor does sound a bit excessive for waiting!
