...so when your tin opener decides to fall apart in your hands and doesn't go back together *quite* right...

...anyone got any ideas on how to get into the tins now!

Hmm...I don't think I have an unrusty screwdriver...

Maybe the vice would work...though may be messy.

You need a Swiss Army type knife with a tin opener attachment. I have one. I have no idea how to operate it but I would certainly have a go if desperation stikes.

Alternatively, buy two tin openers next time. They only cost a couple of quid and it could save on future anxiety.

I have a swiss army knife...but I can't get the tin opener attachment to puncture the tin :(

I must say that I'm a bit dissapointed to hear that you were defeated by the can opener attachment. I have no idea how to work it but I thought someone more practically minded like yourself would be able to figure it out. I conclude that it is a completely pointless object and not even worth having!
