So, this Supernatural series that people have been talking about for the last few years now...is it actually any good? I know little, other than it concerns demons, and demons are good (well for a given definition of good and depending on your point of view), but it's been suggested I start watching it by several people now

First two seasons were better. Third and especially fourth, they started being forced to do shit by the network that aren't necessarily better for the show. *shrugs* Some people like the new shit going down, I'm not so fond of it. If you don't take it too seriously, it's pretty good. :D

is it any good??? what kind of question is that! Stop wasting time and start watching it, from the start, so you get really really involved when they start ripping your heart out through your kneecaps!

It's amazing, TV on a movie budget with movie directors, two great guys in the leads, writers who listen to the fans, angst up to your elbows, and that incredibly rare ability to make you howl with laughter even as tears are rolling down your face. I'm not involved with any show as much as I am with SN - there are still episodes I can't face watching because I know my life will change if I do!

There's a great fandom that comes with it, and amazing slash fic if you're into that and can get over the fact they're brothers, which you will because they touch each other all the time and they have matching tatoos! I can't recommend this series enough, but start from the beginning, you'll get more out of it that way :-)

It's.... worth a watch. It's not gonna be a classic remembered for years to come, but it's pretty good. I stopped watching around the beginning of S2, mainly cause I got a little fed up of the rock salt shot gun & burning the bones to kill the evil spirit thing they seemed to do every episode. I love the boys though, and their father John rocked.
