I am fairly meh about it - I've struggled to really get into it since David Tennant started (Christmas specials excepted, I love them) and it just looks like this will continue.

Well kind of what I love about the Christmas specials is the whole 'yay Christmas, eaten too much, still eating chocolate, oooh, Doctor Who!' thing. I can barely recall the plots after they're done ;)

i had forgotten about the Kylie thing, though. That I didn't like.

Where as new Doctor Who on Christmas Day is usually the highlight of the whole Christmas thing for the last few years ;)

The doctor being just three months older than me is what makes this so weird, I'm trying to be open minded and don't want to judge too hard, but argh! It's like they cast him just so the teenage girls have someone to fancy when David goes.

I'm bitter because I really wanted David Morrissey, even though I knew that was never gonna happen.

Thats my theory on the casting, he is like a younger Tennant with EVEN LESS MASS to his body! The only vaguely positive thing I can think of is that I trust Moffat as a writer and editor a lot more than RTD, there has to be a reason he was chosen with such positivity, I jusst wont believe it till I see it.

I wasn't keen on the Morrissey idea, but then I had my heart set on the Marquis de Carabas:(
