Thanks for the re-cap, what was this 9/11 miniseries?
Looking forward to the TBJ crossover and ditto on
Anyway...i mostly only took notes that were SVU related, but i will say that my favorite moment had to be the moderator snark when he implied that we know nothing about the characters and that's partially why the franchise is so successful.
"Well, you obviously haven't been watching 'SVU'." - Neal Baer
I think we know a lot about characters, maybe it's more that they're not going at it like bunnies constantly that makes it successful since it hasn't turned into As the 16th Precinct Turns.
They filmed near my parents' place just after I left. Doh!
apparently, there was a huge five-part mini-series set to start filming for NBC about Terrorism, NYC and the L&O franchises. Jerry Orbach, Chris Meloni, Mariska, (and Vincent D'Onofrio) and others were all set to star in it as their characters ...
they had actually..true story...on September 10th, just gotten clearance to film in offices located under the WTC and...even eerier...because they got the approval so late, they switched their filming from the WTC to Riker's for September 11th.

my thoughts too...it's doled out slowly but purposely, but not...IMO, cheesily.
I'm rather disgusted that all of their favorite episodes (apart from "Mercy") are from sucky seasons. It feels a bit forced. And it's truly sad just how out of touch with fans they are about the show.
However, I am pleased that there will be TBJ crossovers... but then... that probably just means Casey is going to cross over or something. Crap.
Man, I miss the glory days. A lot. It's starting to feel like the dead horse is hamburger lately. :\
So, um, weird question... Bear with me... But did someone at the panel ask an Alex/Olivia question re: Ghost? Because there's this HUGE debate on one of the lame ass yahoo groups (this badfic author claims to be a journalist) and said that Baer basically said they had planned to have Olivia put the bag on the bed and then shelled the audience with the boyfriend line intentionally.
I just really, really, really want to know if she's a fruit loop and they are fighting for no reason or if she has an iota of credibility.
(For the record the boyfriend line didn't piss me off, these chicks are fucking crazy, yo.)
There was no mention of "Ghost" beyond them pointing out the writer in the audience, which prompted them to then point out all the writers and have them stand up.
yeah, they sound crazy. there was a...row of crazies a couple rows in front of us. one of them actually asked Neal Baer to clarify Mariska's feelings on Fetal Alchol Syndrome. yeah...i dunno. He didn't really answer, thank god.
It was pretty cool. I also got to go to one on The L Word and Boston Legal this year. I've been to ones in the past for Angel, Joan of Arcadia, Gilmore Girls, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and others. It's my favorite time of year.

Yeah, I've seen some good shows go bad for turning into a soap (coming up at 11, Carter does County) and I'm glad SVU's not gone that way.
