Mmm. Cosmopolitans are my favourite, due to my long-standing cranberry addiction. Cape Cods (vodka, cranberry and lime) and Sea Breezes (vodka, Archers, cranberry and orange) also nice.
Fond memories of the Q Club in Cambridge (now sadly defunct) where the barman would have my first vodka-cranberry on the bar before I'd even made it down the stairs - and would often insist that it was on the house. The vodka tasted like paintstripper but hit the spot.
Alex was slightly disparaging about the use of vodka in cocktails, because they're all about contrasting flavours. Vodka doesn't really have a flavour...
(He did also say that some of the high-end one have really delicate and subtle flavours, but they require a suitably delicate and experienced touch to appreciate them properly.)
