why is it called usagi drop

First off: Usagi Drop (the anime. I've heard bad things about the manga) is awesome. So awesome. It's the kinda show that would make me go 'I'M GONNA GO ADOPT A KID' if half the point weren't 'BEING A SINGLE PARENT SUCKS.'

The manga's end is... awkward. Its acceptance is entirely going to depend on how strongly you feel about the characters in it.

Personally, I think the post-timeskip manga is pretty good, but the pre-timeskip part (vol. 1-4, which is what the anime is covering) is overshadowing it to kingdom come.
