There's a reason why they sometimes say the NFL stands for "No Fun League." Warren Sapp said it very well last year, about Terrell Owens, I think. He noted that if you stop him from scoring, he can't celebrate in the end zone.
Some of the celebrations can be juvenile. But the reason the teams and players get big bucks is because of TV contracts. Pretending that it's not show business (and suppressing showmanship, even if occasionally crass) is bad for everyone.
