I appreciate that you acknowledged the difficulties some of us also have on the other side, where we can become dangerously underweight without cause. And the fact is, I could never say much about it because people get pissed off if you think you are too skinny. I am 5'6" just about, and at one time, dropped down to 97-99 lbs and I was eating like crazy and just walking to and from class, only about 3 blocks away.
Size bias & discrimination affects all different sizes. I had a boyfriend who ate all of the time and barely maintained his weight at a comfortable and healthy level for him much of the time. I have a classmate who, despite eating well, is losing weight due to the stress of school, whereas I tend to gain. People have commented on both of our weights, not able to understand what sort of stress we are under.
Sometimes weight can cause or contribute to health issues, but when someone maintains a weight, heavy, average, or thin, while eating healthy food and getting adequate movement, who are we to say their bodies are wrong?
