Long overdue Flyers Prospect Camp - much pic spam AND Twitter is <3

I'm finally going to do a real post on the Flyers Prospect Camp. And I need to write my first blog post about it too. I might wait till tomorrow for that since I'm going to camp again. I finally got the pictures uploaded to both Google so I can spam them on here but I also have them up on Facebook if you have me friended. Facebook is So much easier

hi. i love him. :) (in case you couldn't tell! lol) He got into a fight within the first few seconds of a game that was on CSN this past year and he ended up having a seizure on the ice. It was freaky. He didn't play a lot after that.

I HAVE to find a way to get to the skate zone tomorrow. ahh! This post just killed me dead. I will walk to the skate zone if i have too!

Oh and I'm a little hesitant to love JVR as well, just a little bit. One thing I have to say about him is that boy is a MONSTER. He's Huge!!! When I first saw him at a Phantoms game he was scary big!

I can't believe I missed that it was Garrett. *head meet desk* I love him. I knew that I should have known who he was. How come the Flyers tough guys are so, so pretty? Him and Matt are too pretty to be fighters. I saw that game where he had the seizure. Scariest thing ever. I hope he gets back to playing more.

Did I read your twitter status right that you were going tomorrow? I'm going for sure :D

In the orange or both pics? I feel like such a bad fan :( It's so different than going to Flyers or Phantoms practices where I knew most of the players by sight.

Don't worry - I was a game plan holder for the Phantoms, so I know them by sight. You're ahead of me with regards to the newer draftees, though.

...you have no idea how happy I am to find someone else who isn't that thrilled with JVR. I think he's going to be an okay player and whatnot, but I don't know if he's worth all the hype, and I can't help but question his confidence level and all that jazz considering that he turned down that first year... I mean, who does that?! But oh well I guess... we'll see how he ends up playing.

But ANYWAY, a bazillion thanks for sharing the pictures! :D :D I see Channing in a few! XD I'm glad you had a good time and I hope you have a good time the other day/days you go to camp! :)

Really? I love you for saying that. I think a lot of my dislike of him going against what the Flyers told him and taking forever to decide to come & play for the Flyers. I do think him staying in school last year is going to hurt him and he'll have to play in the Phantoms awhile to be ready.

I'm SO happy you liked them and that I was able to get Channing in a few. My daughter took them and I kept bugging her to make sure she got him. I plan on going back tomorrow so I'll try to get some more.

I will!!! I would've done it sooner but my period was kicking my butt till yesterday :( I figure I'd wait till after tomorrow because I'm going to camp again and hope to have better pics. I shall work on a post for HG tomorrow when I get home :)

The Bruins print programs with the practice #s and vital info on the kids at camp - makes life so much easier when you're trying to figure out who's who!

They had a cookout last night at a coach's house to close out camp - what I wouldn't have given to be a eavesdropper at that! LOL

Thanks! It was a lot of fun and different than regular camp. The Flyers had a sheet with basic info (name, number, and team they played last year) but except for the scrimmage they didn't have their numbers or names on their jerseys. It's on the back of their helmet but it was hard keeping seeing at times. I'm glad you got to go too. Was it far from where you live?

Aww a cookout? I'd love to be able to listen in on that ;)

Unfortunately it's a bit of a hike - a two-hour drive one way. I wouldn't have gotten home in time for my son getting home from school, so I took him with me and we had lunch afterward, so it was a pretty full day.

Hopefully I'll be able to go to training camp in September, but it seems awfully short, especially compared to baseball. In hockey, they don't fool around. Put on your skates and let's play! ;-)

Yikes that is far. I always forget how lucky I am to be about 40 mins away. You're right, camp isn't long at all :( and 2 hours is a long way to drive for a few hours. Of course, I think it's totally worth it. I'd go for 2 hours.
