Relatively speaking. whenever you have hot running water its far from primitive however if you ignore what the resort was offering the only thing the site provided was vaulted toilets, and that is primitive.

Running water?! D: I've never been camping with even running water, haha... I guess I consider primitive camping to be "You go in with no more than you can carry" ... campstove, sleeping bag, maybe a tarp or two, dehydrated food, water purifier*, a shovel (so you can poop) and a fishing pole (so you can eat).

*Or a plastic jug of vodka.

And if that is your thing that is fine. I don't mind going without what would be defined as luxuries. I'm somewhere between that and these idiots who bring direct TV to the campsite or an RV. When I go camping I don't need nor do I want tech with me.
But if I'm going somewhere I would at least expect the camp site's website to at least give me a honest to god breakdown of what is there and isn't there. It's 57 miles to the closest town. Its useful to know that you can forage for wood in the forest, because in every other MN State Park you are not allowed to do this. Its a moot point anyways since that was banned.
