Every now and again I think, ugh, haven't posted anything in a while. I've still been reading but the new formatting for LJ doesn't show right on my work computer for some reason so I have been kind of skipping it. I'm still here though ( Read more... )

The new LJ format looks horrible on my mobile, too (and I hate their app, so....)

I got tired of waiting for a couple of my friends to commit to a trip we talked about - trekking the Inca Trail - so I booked it solo. I loved the tour group so much that I'm hoping to do another trip with them next year, perhaps one not so strenuous as the Inca Trail though. :)

I have no idea if it's in your budget or not, but they have trips all over the world.

Oooh... thank you - I'll check it out. I would always want to go with a tour group that was recced as I can imagine there are dodgy ones out there! :D

Hey, you.
*waves*

You can switch out of the new formatting, if you like - go back to the old. In the top-right corner of your profile page, there's a blank space between two things...can't think what - but if you click the blank space, you get the 'go back to old version' option. Yeah - real intuitive, I know.

You should try the solo option! That could be *so* much fun!

*twirls you*

Hellooooo you! *smishes*

OH MY GOD - HOW DID YOU FIND THAT... it's like an LJ Easter egg... hahaha! What's weird is it displays fine on my home computer but I have Windows 8 on it whereas I think our work SOE is stone age. So maybe that's the issue.

I would possibly want to find a tour group but I'm tempted. :D

I know, right? It's been pointed out here and there, so - yeah. Freakin' LJ, man.

Be tempted! I'll bet you'll have fun. :)

I will be definitely coming over when my flatties move but that's ultra tempting. I could do a fannish tour - hit cities where there are people interested in meeting up. A friend of mine recently did Colorado/New York and I think San Diego on her own and loved it.

I also love Hawaii and found Oahu super easy to navigate so I could always go there again for a week or so. A bunch of people were signing up for tours who were on their own - we adopted another Aussie who was by herself because he husband had to work on the cruise we went on.

I just worry because I'm SUPER shy when there's no one I know. People assume I don't like them because I don't seem shy when near friends and people I'm comfortable with but I kind of shut down completely outside of my comfort zone - but I'm at a good age to be an INDEPENDANT LADY.

Would you adopt me for a couple of days if I headed nearby? :D

I would DEFINITELY adopt you if you were anywhere near me!! However, I would also suggest that, since the Midwest in the U.S. (where I am) is terribly uninteresting, I would rather try to meet up with you somewhere fun, if that would work better for you.

Probably not Hawaii, as much as I am dying to visit there. But SOMEWHERE!! *tacklehugs*
