Sorry to hear that love, I would still like to celebrate the day you were born because you are one of the best people I know. I hope your nephew pulls through and remember I'm always here for you. I never know what to say at times like these so lets leave it at "I Love You"

So bad things happened on 3 out of 29 of those dates. Certainly a very good thing happened on one of them. :-) Any of the above could just as easily have happened a day earlier or a day later. Coincidence, not bad juju. I must dig out the details of "the birthday problem" and its surprising solution from my probability books and show it to you sometime.

I think you should celebrate the anniversary of your birth in a way that brings you joy rather than stress. If that means isolating yourself from the possibility of receiving bad news, so be it. I think you need a personal birthday ritual that pampers you. Hmmm ...
