So...the vet says we should brush the Tibinator's teeth. My folks never brushed their dogs teeth. Neither did my in-laws. And their pups lived late into their teens. But who am I to argue with a dude with a vet degree

They were good with moving furniture. It did take about 24 hours for the carpets to dry, which was a little bit of a pain...but that would be the case with all carpet cleaning.
My carpet was a little "crunchy" after cleaning(like jeans that have been dried in the sun w/o fabric softener), but now it is all good. I've heard the deodorizer is overpriced, so did not use that. The stain guard stuff can be a diy thing, but I let them do it for one room that needed it.
Consumer Reports does have some recommendations for alternatives, too.

What? Dogs do not need to have their teeth brushed. They just need chew sticks and biskets. Capitalists just want to make money by manufacturing beef-flavored toothpaste. Hey, I wonder if they sell that to people. Mmmmmmmm. Beefy.
Molly is almost four years old, and her choppers are glow-in-the-dark white and healthy. Good thing we don't need to brush Molly's teeth. Now, there's a science fiction with real blood and human torture. Come to think of it, that's not my area. In fact, I'm sure that's not my area; no, not my area at all.
She might like to play with an electric toothbrush, too. That was a clever idea.
