Last Friday, I took Bob the cat for a regular checkup and belly trim.  Bob is a Maine Coon mix and has all of the lovely fur of a MC.  However he does not tolerate grooming very well and develops mats.  When I dropped him off, I asked if they could figure out why he has lost so much weight - you can feel his bones.   The vet called a few hours

I have my big fat Pudge cat that weighs in at a slim 19.5 pound. He has bladder issues and was put on pills twice a day. Even my Vet had probs giving him the pills!! I found that butter works really well. They love that sweet stuff and it makes the pill slimey enough that it goes down like a charm. Pill pockets were a no go for the delicate Pudginator. Thankfully, my Vet found his meds in a paste that you rub on his ears 2 times a day! But OH the good old days of pills. Mike and I have the scars to prove it!!!
