a) They are 10. Anyone above 13 is considered old to them. Besides, would you have prefered pineapple girl?

b) The pineapple, by its very nature, is a ridiculous and tasty fruit.

and c) I wish someone would compliment me on *my* pineapple...

People call me lady...very disturbing. Though it was usually at the Video Store when mothers were getting their children to hand me something ("Give the movie to the lady", etc.). It always bugged me. I NEVER want to be a lady...girl will be fine with me until I'm a hundred and ten, thank you :P
I have enjoyed your entry...
That is all.

Considering I've been "ma'am"ed since 2001, I think it's acceptable to be considered a lady.

A kid who was about 3 said "Hi Lady!" to me a few times when I went to visit the Natural History Museum this summer (yay Canada Day when all of the museums are FREE!) As she was 3, it was more cute than anything else. But I have also been Ma'amed by a fellow passenger on Via rail who was MY OWN AGE. His excuse: he is in the military, as are many in his family, so it is kind of his standard female greeting. Struck me as unusual, but not in a bad way.
