I was watching a Good Eats episode on vanilla, and learned that of 3 main vanilla producers/areas, to avoid mexican extracts [not beans, just extracts] because they contain a toxin that was banned in the US some time ago via adding tonka bean extracts, which taste like vanilla ( Read more... )

I am going to try to fix all typos before saving or entering them into visible spaces, like messaging services, blogs and text messages. especially the first.

I got this sample of green tea from - get this - The Republic of Tea - and am trying it right now. It's pretty good, surpisingly enough. The package was espousing the fact that the tea bag was made with unbleached cotton, without using wasteful things such as staples and tags.
