So I popped into the Graduate Studies office to check that my defense is still scheduled for the date and time at which I think it is scheduled. The nice reception person told me that, until I receive a confirmation email, they can't confirm said date and time, and they won't send me the confirmation email until they hear from the external. Seriously, though, how can they not confirm your date at this point? Are they trying to make you crazy?

That said, you could be wearing black undies under white shorts with no perception of the wrongness of such a choice. Things could be way worse.

Or maybe wearing black panties beneath white shorts can be some sort of fashion statement, like letting your bra straps show. Hardly seems like the same thing, though.
