I was thinking, that's a good point, lots of people (uhhhh Cheney Rummy Wolfowitz etc.) were all about Palpatine-esque empire creation, though I suppose the point still stands that said fantasies were totally divorced from reality,
maybe the real point is that Ferguson has always wanted to make a Star Wars reference in The New Republic...

And then I clicked on the link. Good God! Terrifying! Really too much for me so early in the day. The Shrub / Chimp photo comparisons always amused me, but this is just scary. Muchas Gracias!

Okay smarty-pants politicos, I am going to be the voice of grammar. "Incentivize" is not a word. Nor should it be.

I know. I thought the same thing as I typed in the quote, even though I suspect (and www.dictionary.com confirms) that this terrible neologism has indeed become accepted as a word. Ugh. Next thing you know respectable academics will be describing things as "relatable."
