Just wanted to say, it's nice to see you posting again, even if all is not of the good. Re: AS, my cousin has Asperger's, and knowing what the problem is makes it much easier on her, the family and her school. She was diagnosed late (about three years ago, I think; she's eighteen now), but the diagnosis and the help she recieved has prevented her from flunking out of school, and has helped her learn how to deal with people better. It sounds like you've done the research, but I guess I just wanted to reassure you that, like you said, Asperger's is no barrier to someone becoming a happy, functional person. I hope things improve for you all, whatever the outcome of tonight's meeting.
